The next Didsbury Open Gardens will take place on Sunday, June 17, 2018.
We will have over 32 spaces and gardens open to the public in aid of charity. With 7 completely new gardens, and many changes and new additions to our existing gardens. There will be a tour of the allotments, an organ recital at St James Church, a unique Alpine House, live music, birds of prey and an Arts Trail. See our News page for updates. Alan Titchmarsh has visited two of our gardens, most recently to a lovely shade garden, which will be shown on ITV’s Love Your Garden. For details on buying a programme see bottom of page.
The event has become a mainstay in the Didsbury and South Manchester Calendar and has been going since 2008, with over 1,000 visitors each year, it has raised more than £50,000 so far for the Hospice and other local charities. This is always a lovely community event in the Didsbury Calendar. We hope the 2018 event will be just as popular and that everyone will come along to enjoy the gardens, the music and art, and of course the tea and cakes.
Programmes go on sale on Sat 28 April from The Cheese Hamlet in the village, Fusion Deli on Lapwing Lane, West Didsbury, and from the Holt Pavilion Cafe in Didsbury Park. These outlets are open on 17 June, but you can also go to Broomcroft Hall garden, top of Ford Lane in the village, to buy a programme on the day.
We very much look forward to seeing you there! Meanwhile, you can subscribe on this webs site to receive news and updates.
